Pressing And Collecting Flowers

We work making many sort of Bangkok flower arrangements from simple bouquets through to wedding and corporate flowers.
A simple photo serves as a simple remembrance, looking at the old photos of your childhood days may remind you of the time when you were easily amused with small things because of your shallow happiness. The time that you were always crying because of your clumsiness and when everyone around you were mad at you because of your naughtiness, pictures serve as a window into the past.
The time when you were still at the university; most embarrassing experiences, happy and sad moments, friendships and even the days you were counting your suitors, admirers and crushes are flashed back in your mind upon seeing your graduation photos.
You even captured every single moment using a camera especially on important occasions because you don’t want to forget but always want to remember those special memories, events, and happenings in life. And would even go as far as you’ll put those photos on an album or picture frame and make it as a nice souvenir.
But not only photos can be placed on an album or a frame. For those people who can’t just start their day without seeing their beautiful flowers, attaching your favorite flowers to an album or putting it in a frame and using it for crafts, decorations and gifts in a fun and unique way is possible. Just by pressing and drying your favorite flowers you can embellish them in things like photo albums, picture frames, candles, stationery, scrapbooks and more. So you better get to know first the simple steps and procedures on “how to press dried flowers“.
- Choose and pick the right flowers. Make sure that the flower is fresh and has no moisture. You can use tissue paper to dry off moisture.
- Place two pieces of tissue paper on the middle part of a large book avoiding the flower to stained the pages of the book.
- After placing tissue papers on the center of the book, put the flower on top of it and put two more tissue papers covering the flower.
- You can now close the book and place it inside the microwave and leave it there with in a medium setting for 30 to 40 seconds.
- Once it is done, get the book out of the microwave then open the book and let the excess heat steamed out.
- Wait until it cools down, then close the book with the flower again and place it inside the microwave repeating the same procedure.
- After repeating the same steps. You can now transfer the flower in to another book. A very heavy book or book that’s just heavy enough like a thick dictionary, telephone book directory or encyclopedia will help to press the flower proportionately. You can also use any heavy object to be put on the top of the book to increase its weight.
- Leave it for at least 48 hours or until the flower is perfectly pressed.
You can now enjoy and decide where to put or what to do with these finish product.
The above procedures mentioned are just one of the different procedures of pressing dried flowers. There are some materials that are specially made and designed for pressing and drying flowers.
